Get involved

You do not have to join anything

The most useful thing most people can give us is half an hour, once. There is no rota, no commitment, and no expectation that you keep turning up.

This is the job

Someone has to be the doughnut

Sports Day, a wagon of Krispy Kremes, and a costume made of cardboard. Two hours of one Saturday, and the school got a set of playground zones out of it.

What half an hour gets you

  • 30 minutes helps run a bake sale
  • 2 hours helps run a disco
  • An afternoon helps run the Christmas Fayre
  • One phone call to a local business you know can bring in a raffle prize
  • Whatever you do at work — accounts, design, licensing, first aid — almost certainly helps us run the charity better
Our sign-up form is being set up. Email StLawrencePSFA@stbartsmat.co.uk and we will add you to the helper list.

The members’ WhatsApp group

Ideas, offers of help and "can anyone lend us a gazebo" all happen here. Ask any committee member to add you.

Joining the committee

The committee is elected at the AGM each September, and every position is open to any parent, carer or member of staff. It is a handful of meetings a year. If you are curious, come to the AGM and see what you think — there is no obligation to stand.

The AGM

Our AGM is held in September each year. The date goes up here and on Facebook once it is confirmed.
